The BAC TSR-2 was manufactured by the Electric Aviation Ltd and Vickers-Armstrong (Aircraft) Ltd, later amalgamated with other aircraft manufacturers into the British Aircraft Corporation. She was designed to meet a Cold War RAF operational requirement for a Tactical Strike and Reconnaissance aircraft capable of supersonic flight.
At the time, the BAC TSR-2 was arguably the most advanced aeroplane conceived and technically the most advanced produced and had many design elements which made her a unique aircraft. She is also a striking aircraft with a unique and aesthetic pleasing form.
This section of the website allows you to explorer those design elements, the explorer allows you to explore over twenty different features of the port and starboard sides of the TSR-2. By moving your mouse cursor over an image of the aicraft you will encounter text labels which link to information boxes with details about that component of the BAC TSR-2.
