The Royal Air Force Museum Cosford and the Royal Air Force Museum London, based at Hendon, collectively house a collection of around one-hundred and sixty aircraft, representing one of the finest collections in the world. Each museum is home to four distinct collections, with aircraft ranging from an inter-war civilian bi-plane, through to post-war passenger jetliners, cold-war military bombers, and modern-day civilian helicopters.
