Hawker Hurricane PZ865 (Mk IIc) was the last of some 14,533 Hurricane aircraft and was constructed in 1944. The Sydney Camm-designed aeroplane saw service during the Battle of Britain, having entered service in 1937. In September 1940, as the Battle of Britain commenced, thrity-two squadrons equipped with Hurricane aircraft defended the skies against the Luftwaffe.
This particular aircraft - LF363 - had the legend "The Last of the Many" painted on both sides when she came off the production line. LF363 never saw active war service and was used by the Hawker company and then for civilian purposes.
Like Spitfire P7350, Hurricane LF363 appeared in the 1969 film "Battle of Britain". She was later restored before becoming part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
